Pigs!!! July 12, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — teenstakeaction @ 4:35 am

Pigs are one of the smartest creatures alive! After investigations, it is proven that pigs are very good at learning new routines, and pigs can do any types of circus tricks, like jumping through hoops, standing and bowing, rolling under rugs, and close and open cages. They can even learn to play video games with a joystick!

Pigs are very affectionate. Many families even have one as a household pet! Many pig owners even allow their pigs to sleep with them at night. Not only is the pig very warm and enjoys cuddling, but it also doesn’t squirm around and never hogs the bed.

Although pigs are incredible creatures, over 10 million of them are living a nightmare and becoming food!

When the female pig is in labor, she is stuck in a tiny cage, unable to turn around or even lay down. There is no straw or any sense of comfort underneath her for support, so it often causes sores in her shoulders and knees. Once the female pig gives birth,  the babies are taken away to get fattened, while the mother is re- bred. once the mother is unable to be bred any more, she is off to get slaughtered for meat.

As babies, the pigs tails are sliced off to minimize tail biting, a habit many baby pigs happen to do from being stuck in the factory farms. By about 2 or 3 weeks old, 10% of the baby pigs have died from such extreme conditions. The survivors are taken away from heir mothers into pens with metal bars and concrete floors. They will live this way until they are 6 months old and 250 pounds. These conditions often cause diseases. This overcrowding can also cause stress to the pigs, which could lead to death.

The pigs are then stabbed in the neck  hung upside down by their back legs and left to bleed to death at the slaughterhouse while they are still conscious. The workers do this process so quickly they often accidentally stab another part of their bodies. If this happens, they are sent to the scalding tank, where the pig is boiled alive.

Stop this madness! Make a difference in this world!  Please avoid bacon, hot dogs, sausage, ham and other meats made from pork!

Love Animals, Don’t Wear Them! July 12, 2011

Look at this cute, innocent bunny.

You may think, nobody would ever be so cruel to hurt this creature, well think again! Over 50  million of these adorable bunnies are slaughtered every year just for their fur.

The bunnies are stuffed in cages together with so little room they cannot stretch, jump, or even lay down. The mothers are kept separate from their kids and are only allowed to be with them to nurse them. Being in the wild, the mothers have control of when she chooses to nurse her children, so not having control of when it is time to nurse, causes stress on the mother and might even cause her to eat her children.

Once it is time for slaughter, the farmers hang the bunnies feet on a metal chain, then beat it constantly, ofter causing bleeding in the skull. Sometimes, the farmer even slices the bunnies head off while the bunny is still conscious! Then, they shave the bunny so roughly and quickly the bunny’s skin bleeds.

Help put an end to this cruelty! Spread the word! Don’t buy animal fur!

Ke$ha Blasts Canada’s Seal Slaughter! April 25, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — teenstakeaction @ 2:43 am

Every year, a group of sealers goes out  to Canada onto the ice to club hundreds and thousands of seals till their death and sell the animals’ pelts (furs) on the international fur market.  These seals suffering encouraged Ke$ha to speak out against the act. She even named her first album Animals and is spreading awareness about this bloody act all over the world!

Although Ke$ha is sending out a great message, the Canadian government still allows sealers to club, beat, and skin hundreds of thousands of these gentle creatures every year.

Ke$ha has always been an animal lover and she is sending a great message!  The Canadian government actually still allows this to happen!  Please speak out to help stop this masssacre!

Please write to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper as well as Canadian ambassadors around the world and demand that they bring the massacre to an immediate end.   Together we can make a difference!

Do you know where your money’s going when you donate to a charity? April 3, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — teenstakeaction @ 2:27 am

You may have donated to charity, thinking your donating to a good cause, but do you have any idea where your money is actually going to?

What about the charity March Of Dimes? Ever donated to them? They try to make life easier for humans who are born blind. But, they spend thousands of the money WE are giving them, to do cruel tests on kittens. They sew kittens eyes shut for a WHOLE year! Just to see how being blind changes their life. Then, once the year is up, the KILL the kittens! They do this process just because they think it will better help their understanding of humans being born blind.

The American Heart Association is another cruel charity. They take horrible tests on animals, hoping those tests will help them in human problems. In one test, they have animals hearts destroyed. They have their arteries sewn shut, and are exposed to bad substances such as cigarette smoke! In another study, tubes and wires are implanted inside the dogs heart, in order to speed up their heart rate, and within three horrible weeks, the dogs suffer heart failure.

Another cruel charity is the Shriners Burn Institute. Their goal is to learn how to fight infections. They burn live mice, rats, guinea pigs, pigs, dogs, and sheep.  They burn up to 40% of the animals body, then, inducted sepsis by E. coli into their internal organs, in order to test how treating the recover helps burn victims to recover.

The last horrible charity is at Boys Town national Research Hospital. They are trying to cure deafness, by starving cats for months! They implant tubes and wires down the cats throats, cement metal devices into their skull, and cut open their heads in order to sever the nerves in all the cats brains.

People do these tests to try to better help their understanding for humans and how they work, but why test these on animals? Humans are NOTHING like animals! So these tests aren’t helping us! They are just cruel murders!

ANIMALS ARE INNOCENT! Why punish them?

Dog Fights! March 30, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — teenstakeaction @ 4:56 am

Did you know, right here in Southern California, dog fights happen every day. Have you every heard of dog fighting rings?  Dog fighting rings are a form of gambling in which game dogs are made to fight, sometimes to death.  Dog fighting rings are a big source of income for those who hold the event.

Dogs involved in dog fights are often severely injured or killed during the fight. These fights may last for hours until one of the animals quits or dies. Also, these animals do not receive veterinary attention. Losers that do not die may be tortured, starved to death, or killed outright by their owners.
Other animals, like strays, or even your own pets, may be stolen and used as “bait” to train fighting dogs.  Often these pets suffer before they die.

This dog was rescued from a   dog fighting ring. Dogs used in fighting are normally chained or kept in small crates for their entire lives.   Any breed of dog can be trained to fight.  Once a dog learns this behavior, the dog  faces a sad future, even if it’s rescued.

The “fighting dog” has few friends.

They live lives of brutality and unspeakable cruelty at the hands of those who gamble on their deaths, while betrayal and death await them at “humane” societies if they are “rescued”.

These animals are victims of cruelty.

Don’t support “humane” groups that don’t include these dogs in their circle of compassion.
